Some looks came true while playing with my recently purchased celestial deity Pat Mc Grath! Which one is your favorite? My ideas on the palette are included!
I’ve bought Path mc Grath Celestial divinity as auto-present for my birthday, taking advantage of the black friday (from the official website I payed 60€, wheras my local sephora sells it at 125€!!!). These are some of the look I realized with it. The list of the product used is inserted bow. For each look, a brief comment related to the shades is also included
Product used:
1st look(the upper left): inner lid: pmg celestial divinity in odissey. Centre lid: Huda beauty mercury retrograde gold glitch. Outer lid: huda beauty amethyst shade #2. Transition: path mc grath celestial divinity in venusian orchid. Deep crease mc grath celestial divinity venomous void.
Comments: odissey seems a standard plum from the pan, however when applied it is such an unique shade instead; it has a lavander shift that the camera cannot catch. however it is not super pigmented, you have to build it a bit for full coverage and it tends to have a LOT of fallout. I feared that odissey could be a dupe if huda’s amethyst #2, which I used on the outer corner, but they are quite different once onto the lid.
2nd look (upper right): (all the shades are from pmg celestial divinity) onto the lid electron. Outer corner violet void. Transition: venusian orchid. Deep crease venomous void
Comments: electron is stunning, the foto gives any justice to it. As for many shimmers in this palette you have to slightly build it up to have full coverage (Maybe because in this way you can use it both as topper, both a standalone). It tends to crumble a bit, it is very delicate. Venomous void is a bit aisappointment. From the photos online seemed a bluish violet, however when I applied it, it resulted a gray, with a very subtle purple shift, some blue reflects visible only at particular angles.
3rd look(2nd row, Left): all the shades are from pmg celestial divinity. lid cosmik. Outer lid corruption. Deep crease major mohogany. Transition venusian orchid.
Comments: from the photo it is impossible to see, but both cosmik and corruption are duo chromes. They change completely according to the light: Cosmik shifts between a reddish pink, a peachy pink and a bronze. Corruption changes from coppery brown to olivish brown. Both are more lighter than in the pan. Corruption is soo delicate! It tends ti crumble a lot. Cosmik require a bit of building up to achieve full coverage.
4th look: lid: path mc grath celestial divinity in dragonfly, outer lid: pmg celestial divinity in Corruption. Deep crease abh norvina in volatile. Transition: Too faced sweet peach in charmed I’m sure.
Comment: the photo is such a bad quality and it is nowhere near to show how stunning dragonfly is. It is a duocrhome that has a hazelnut base under green shift.
5th look: onto the lid Pmg celestial divinity gold standard. Outer lid & deep crease pmg celestial divinity smoked amethyst. Transition: huda beauty neon green#2.
Comments: I feared that standard gold would have been too yellow for my taste, istead in a well balanced gold. It is the standard gold, has the name says.
6th look: lid pmg celestial divinity Lunar champagne. Centre of the lid: huda beauty mint obsession #2. Outer lid & crease beauty mint obsession #9. Transition: beauty mint obsession #3
Comment: lunar champagne is the kind of everyday passepartout shade. However it leak a bit in pigmentation an adhesion that the other shades. I recomand a primer beneath.
7th look:pat mc grath celestial divinity palette: saturnalia on the lid. Bronze in the centre of theid, major mahogany to deep the crease, lunar champagne on the brow bone. From huda beauty warm browns palette: shade #3 for transition & blending
I’ve also realized other two looks, one centered on Bronze nebula onto the lid, the other on fuchsia shock, wich are the 2 shades not included in the previous look. However I don’t have photo of them. They are both richly pigmented from the first layer. Fuchsia shock is a duochrome (pinkish fucsia base and violet-bluish shift) And is a bit crumbly, as other duochromes in palette. I tried it all over the Lid, but I don’t like the result. The colour is stunning, but applied alone on the lid it gives a bruise effect (maybe because it is very cool, and I am warm?) the nex time i will tap an other lighter colour (i.e. a pink) in the centre of the lid, to add light.
—— global consideration
Until now, I tried each shade almost one time, so I can provide my first global impression.
It is a very good palette, most shimmers are very unique shades due to their shift/duochrome effect.
All the shades (except maybr lunar champagne) do not require primer, they stay all the day without falling.
The mattes are soft, buildable and blendable (the type I prefer the most) and they are not patchy at all (unlike most of the dark berry and burgundies I’ve ever tried)
Only two aspect to point out regards tge shimmer
Most of the shimmer are so delicate, they tend to crumble and have consistent fallout
Some of the shimmer are likely meant to be used also as topper layered onto other shades, thus they require a bit of building up if you want to reach full coverage
All considered, it is a good palette. I like it a lot. 60€ it is a fair price, for the amount of product and the overall quality, but I don’t think it is worth it full price (more than 80€ on the website, 125€ on sephora)

Thank you for these! My fave is the 2nd look for sure.
I bought this during the sale too and have had a hard time figuring out what to do with it. The color story isn’t really speaking to me… I think I’m going to try some of that you’ve done here. And maybe add some mattes from another palette since the mattes in this one are pretty but not what I usually use.
If you were going to add different matte shades to your 2nd look, what colors would you use?
Loooove the yellow look in particular!
I’m all about sunset looks so my fav is the last one.
Cool! Love the in depth review. I like the top left look best
