Hi ladies i’m sorry if this is not allowed on this submarine otherwise could someone recommend another place please? I’m looking for help with a birthday present for my sister. She is 24 and has been obsessed with hair and makeup since before she could walk. She is a very talented woman and she has made hairdressing her profession. She recently suffered a loss and I’m looking for something really special to try to brighten up her. She loves everything about makeup and she has a serious collection. I’m a few years older than her, but she taught me everything I know. I don’t want to give her something that she could just find and get herself. I know his favorite brand is Mac, but I have no idea what the standards are. When she opens it, I want her eyes to light up and her to smile, then go play with it for hours. I am looking to spend between 100 and 200 euros, although for the gift voucher I am willing to spend a little more. She doesn’t have bad skin, she breaks out very rarely. She is a bit pale but often uses a fake tan and a darker shade of makeup to look a bit lightly tanned. She has stunning eyebrows and big, bright blue eyes, chubby cheeks and beautiful full lips. She also had some botox or filler on her forehead and lips. She changes her hair color all the time and can pull off any color. (Hope this is relevant) If any of you could help me out, I would really appreciate it! I really want to cheer her up and make her feel special.
Reading your description of your sister, I think your best bet is getting her a gift card. Look at getting it at an upscale retailer with a beauty department, the kind of shop where you make special purchases.
Maybe focus less on the makeup itself and more on:
– makeup storage (palette holders, organizers, travel bag, extra points if they’re personalized)
– find ways to upgrade their vanity if they have one (a nicer chair, decorations, lights, etc)
– brushes, sponges, makeup removers
– gift cards if you’re really stumped
I pay extra attention and take notes when someone says they need or want something. It could be six months ago that they mentioned it, but it’s done well for me for the most part. Good luck!!
Maybe a nice ring light if she doesn’t have one! It gives great light for taking pictures of all her makeup looks!
I donât have any recommendations because I donât want to disappoint your sister.
But I just wanted to comment: the way you talk about your sister is beautiful! Itâs so uplifting and heart warming. You can tell that you love and really care for her. â¤ď¸
Depending on where you live, get her a Sephora gift card! She can then pick and choose what she needs.
I have some generic advice.
As someone with a passionate hobby, I feel bad when someone tries to get me something they think will help me when I already own something much better.
I think the best way to go about this is to get her something that is normally cheap. A simple tool or something that’s reusable and they likely already have a cheap version of, but get a relatively high end one.
For example, I feel like most people I know have relatively cheap dollar store kitchen utensils. My girlfriend is really into cooking and baking. She has fancy pots and pans, and I wouldn’t really know what she needs in that regard. What I could get her is a nice solid premium whisk. Something with a really strong, full metal handle. She’s got a dollar store whisk that she has to push back together after washing because the metal is weak.
That whisk would be something she uses all the time, and alleviate the frustration that comes from using a cheap version. Plus it should last a super long time and make her think of me whenever she uses it đ
Sorry I don’t have any makeup-specific gift ideas but that was what came to mind.
Youâre an amazing sibling!!!
If she doesnât already have any, some multi chromes from Clionadh would probably knock her socks off. Ditto the shifty polishes from Pop Polishâs Jem and the Holograms collection or a bunch of holos from ILNP. Fun to play with, swatch, and stare at. đ
Good luck!
I donât know if I have a recommendation, but I just want to say youâre an incredible sibling! All of this is so heartfelt, I wish you the best of luck on finding something perfect for your sister!

Do you have a Sephora in your country? Here in the US, you can get your makeup done at Sephora by buying $50 in products. I love getting $50 Sephora gift cards because I get the makeover and the product. If thatâs available where you live, it might make a nice gift for your sister.
I agree with everything that was said, but Iâd suggest something like a Pat McGrath mothership palette if she doesnât already have one, or a âgift certificateâ for one and let her pick the exact one, a set of Sonia G or Wayne Goss brushes, or a simple human mirror (if she doesnât like the exact one you get, she can return it for the one she wants).
As she has just suffered a loss, my recommendation is that you take her to lunch and then take her shopping…make a day of it! See what she flips out over, and then buy it for her The memory of time spent with someone who obviously loves her very much would be such a nice bonus and she’ll think about your day together every time she uses your gift.
