Hi. I would like to ask what is the quality of Lunar Beauty eyeshadows. I plan to buy Sydney Grace singles, mattes in all colors of the rainbow, black, white, light brown and cream next month. It would cost me around 70 US without the postage. Then I saw the new Lunar beauty palette, the Life’s a Drag facelift eyeshadow palette, which actually has all the singles I intended to buy (plus a few more shades) and costs cheaper. I haven’t tried both, how do they compare? Also, how does Lunar Beauty fare compared to more traditional brands like Natasha Denona, Pat, ABH, Colourpop, etc. Thank you in advance.
I have the strawberry dream palette. It’s stunning. The colors are pigmented, and are easy to work with. For instance, there’s two blues in the palettes. Usually, working with blues is difficult for me, cause it gets patchy easily. Lunar Beauty’s blues are creamy and travel for days! The shimmer are truly gorgeous, i would suggest swatching them on your arm first, cause they can be more intense or have a different undertone than in the pan, so if it’s the first time you’re using them, check first!
I haven’t tried Sydney Grace shadows yet, but if you’re looking for comparisons, I think they are better than Colourpop in every category. The shimmers have that same oomph of the ABH’s Jackie Aina’s palette (their best shimmers, imo). The mattes I find them to be as creamy and easy to work with as a Natasha Denona (and creamier than the usual ABH formula, which I find to be a bit dry) and even though the shimmers are not yet Pat’s level, I would say Lunar Beauty’s white with blue reflects shade is getting up there.
