For me I have monolids that like to act up. Like if I get poor sleep one night then sometimes one eyelid will swell and the other will not. That is the source of my asymmetry π«π
This was a hard one for me when winged eyeliner was extremely popular. No amount of taping off a line from my lower lid to my eyebrow is going to make those wings look right.
reading the comments, I thought it was weird and wrong to do different eyeliner shape to each eyes because it’ll not be “symmetrical”. I have weird eyes – on my left got normal crease and on my right I got 3 creases and it somehow falls under hooded eye type. 1 looks big, 1 looks small. ugh. anyway ill practice to make it seem symmetrical lolll
Am Filipino, with both colonized and colonizer DNA (both ethnically Filipino and Spanish, and probably Chinese too). Have always said one of my eyes looks more Asian (closer to monolid in appearance) while the other more double-eyed (Western). Now that I’m in my Middle Ages, the previously more Asian eye seems to be going down turned and saggy whereas the more Western eye more hooded. Any attempt at a wing leads to puppy eye on one side and the random curlique of a handlebar mustache on the other when I look straight on. sigh.
Yo it took me way to long to figure this out. One eye has a much heavier fold than the other so I have to do a completely different eyeliner technique for it
One of my eyes is slightly hooded and the other isn’t. And on top of that, next to the hooded eye right where my eyeliner wing should extend out, I have an indented scar from hitting my face on the corner of a coffee table as a baby. Matching my eyeliner isn’t fun.
I noticed that a few years ago, i have asymmetrical eyes which have been my insecurity, they’re quite noticeable; even the eyelashes aren’t the same so I used to apply eyeliner but it looked ao bad I just gave up and stuck to mascara and glittery eyeshadows…
I’m laughing because I once said to my husband that my eyes are asymmetrical and he was like, “oh, I know.” He had noticed but never said anything π I can do winged eyeliner like a boss on one eye, the other eye is always a fail. Oh well.

One-round one-almond eye squad reppin
The worst is when your eyes USED to be symmetrical, but now you’re 41, and suddenly you JUST CAN’T GET IT RIGHT ANYMORE.
I do my winged liner differently on each eye to make my eyes look the same, it’s taken a lot of practice to figure out though.
I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.
Are we sure? Because this would make me feel ALOT better about my eyeliner skills.

Youβre right, but still fuck you! Me and my bulbous left eye will be over here copying the wing from the right eye until it works! Lol
Your eye make-up needs to be sisters but they donβt need to be twins. Same for brows.
I canβt tell if this made me feel better about my eyeliner technique or worse about my differently shaped eyes lol
How dare you! /S
π
How is one of my eyes upwards and the other is downwards like @God you fucked it up brooo
I never noticed it until this year on all the video calls and now I can unsee it. Thanks a lot 2020.
Or, just hear me out on this one, it’s both.
Because for me it’s definitely both.
I have this issue with my lips π
My left eye and eyebrow belong to someone else.
Too true
I needed to hear this.
Oh what a relief

One of my eyes is noticeably higher than the other, and winged liner only made that more noticeable.
It can also be lumpy if you have astigmatism, as I realized this year

I have switched from a hard black line to a soft chocolate smudge. I am now an old.
I really felt this one.π³
I felt attacked and I donβt even do an eyeliner

I would think the opposite would be more savage for me lol
Maybe I was trying to look like Sebastian Stan, you don’t know.
