Hello! Super new to this sub, I’m also on mobile so sorry for any mistakes or weird things 🙁 I recently purchased the Vision Covering Cream Foundation because the claims and ingredients sounded good. I finally received it in the mail and tried it. But from what I’ve read it’s supposed to be a bit moisturizing, but when I applied it (I just left work and didn’t have any makeup on the primer or primer) , it was insanely dry / drying and the hardest thing I tried to mix in my life because it dried too fast. So that left my skin really patchy and my skin looked like it was peeling off as I tried to blend it in (I have oily skin). I made one side with a brush and the other side with a wet beauty blender and both sides looked equally dry; I removed it with micellar water, then I rinsed my skin, patted it down and this time I applied the nyx marshmallow base because it is so hydrating. It went a bit better, but it was still quite dry and patchy (I could still see the places I put it on my skin). I mean, I know it’s not supposed to be a dewy finish, but when she says natural finish, I expect her to also look like skin that, when healthy, is a little pinkish. I know this was only the very first time I tried it and had not freshly applied my skin care routine, but what are the opinions of others if they have tried this product and what would be any recommendations or suggestions (other than applying it after my skincare routine) as to how I should go about it on my second attempt? Thank you!
I don’t have this foundation but have been eyeing it for a while and read that it’s recommended to be mixed with oils for a more blendable consistency + hydration. since the foundation itself is squalane-based it should mix well with most oils 🙂

Hey, I use DMB almost exclusively and the real secret to the foundation is that it is not foundation at all. It’s concealer, it has to be blended with her beauty oil or her illuminating moisturizer. All her products work best without a primer and I like using a smaller, dense brush to apply. A little goes a long way! I use one pump of foundation and two drops of beauty oil because I have slightly dry skin.
I’ve had the same experience with it. Since it’s super pigmented it lends itself well to being mixed with a moisturizer. And I have a bit of an easier time with a damp sponge, but yeah not super easy for me either.
