I’ve been thinking about it for a while. It’s interesting to see so many people, even with similar fashion styles, choosing to wear their makeup incredibly differently. Personally, I think I look weird with a glamorous face, but maybe it’s just that I’m not used to seeing that type of look on my face. How is everyone feeling?
Yeah everyone’s different so some people look better natural and some people look better with glam. I like glam more, it’s fun
Yeah I don’t like my look natural. I always go full on glam (sometimes with a natural palette but dark eye) or I won’t b seen. I have hooded eyelids so that’s a lot of it. Ever since I was 13 n discovered makeup I always liked a dark eye.
Also, I do agree u can go overboard with the glam. I stick to my eyes. Everything else is full foundation, bronzer, n contour my cheeks. I have high cheekbones so I wouldn’t necessarily call it contour more like a specifically placed blush lol. But my eyes… Hell I’ll go all out n not give AF. Everyone is always amazed by it. Ppl want me to do theirs n u have some (Biblebelt) that say, “Sweetie, u would b so much prettier without all that on ur face” They haven’t seen me without makeup so how do they know? My eyes r hooded n it’s gonna b a problem when I’m older. I can’t do winged liner. Not @ all. Makes me sick. I do halo or smokey in the corner. IDK if this helps. Everyone is diff. So if u try something on u n it looks horrible, it may not b skill. May actually not suite u. It does take a min to not b taken aback when going glam. Try it @ nite when u go out or hell out to the park. Try it for a day or 2. Makeup 💄 is part of my style. I can express my individuality with it. Idc if others don’t like it or make fun of me bc they don’t wear makeup n I choose to.
I think that what’s glam and natural to one is something different to another. After reading this forum for close to a year, I’ve discovered that what I consider “everyday” is glam to most people here. I don’t work so I might not spend as much time on makeup every morning if I did. When I leave the house whether I’m going to a nice restaurant or WM, I’ve got a full face that include foundation, blush, bronzer, eyebrows colored and shaped, eyeshadows, liner, false lashes, highlighter, colored sparkly lipgloss, lotion and perfume. Whew! No wonder it takes me nearly two hours to walk out the door! LOL

I feel like it depends on the person. Some look amazing with full glam but others looks too over done
