👉 J. Cat Beauty ‘Aquasurance’ Compact Foundation
First-Impression Review: this has been a long time coming, I’ve had this on my wishlist for 2 years! I chose to utilize it more as a ‘setting powder’, but there is no doubt that you can use this as your sole foundation. This product packs coverage without giving you the ‘I’m wearing tons of makeup’ look! It’s as smooth as ever, covering up even the most textured part of my cheeks. I love that it comes in specific shades, because you can get a customized look, no matter who you are.
➡️ Shade: ACF102 Natural
💰 Price: $13.99 (Ulta)
🚦 Rating: A

👉 Pretty Vulgar ‘Nesting B!#%h Face’ Face Palette
First-Impression Review: in all honesty, I’ve had such good luck with all the Pretty Vulgar products I have tried. Something about this palette design just isn’t my style, but I really like the makeup products contained within. The bronzers have a great undertone, you get both a matte & a shimmery blush, & there’s 2 highlight options (dependent upon your skintone). I just mixed everything together, as I usually do with face palettes – & I’m REALLY happy with the final look. I also dig how easy the application was, there were absolutely no hurdles.
➡️ Shade: All of Them!
💰 Price: $32 (Pretty Vulgar)

……
👉 ELF ‘Shape & Stay’ Brow Pencil
First-Impression Review: this is an excellent product for the feather-brow trend, & that’s exactly what I had in mind when I purchased it. It’s basically a shapely piece of wax that puts an ease to application. You just draw the wax on your brows, & then shape them as desired with a spoolie. My only beef with this product is that it dries SUPER-DUPER fast, so you barely have any time between applying it & styling it before your brows are untouchable. You reallllllly have to work quickly with it, & sometimes I just want to take my time. So, points off for that.
➡️ Shade: Clear
💰 Price: $3 (ELF)

👉 Hard Candy ‘Defend’ Sheer Envy Setting Spray
First-Impression Review: it’s kind of hard to do a first-impressions on a setting spray (especially one that has so many intangible claims on it) – but I can tell you that it does NOT have a fragrance, it feels really nice as you apply it, the spray tip is high quality, it melted my makeup together to create a seamless look, & as I’m writing this – the makeup look hasn’t budged. So far, so good. It’s not a ground-breaking, ingenious formula that I’ve never heard of, or do anything noteworthy for my skin, though. I just like it.
First-Impression Review: I don’t know why I’m so fascinated with L.A. Girl palettes – but here we are. I was drawn to this color-story. Sadly, as in the past, some of the colors just suck – but look beautiful in the pan. Their formula is really hit-or-miss, too. When it’s good – it’s better-than-Pat-McGrath-good, but when it’s bad, well – it’s just another regret. My favorite color in this palette is the foiled lime green, but I had so much trouble working with that shade. The mattes are a little stiff, but workable, but the metallics SHINE. Honestly, if you like this color-story, & you are apt to deal with a slightly-temperamental palette, I’d go for it. I can’t wait to do a more thorough & comprehensive review on this palette!
💰 Price: $15.99 (Ulta)

👉 Revlon ‘Colorstay Satin Ink’ Lip Color
First-Impression Review: I reckon this is Revlon’s newest lip formula. I think the color is to-die-for. It’s a stunning color that doesn’t draw attention to the yellow-tones in my teeth. The formula dries down, but never becomes ‘matte’ & ‘intolerable’. It’s a comfortable formula that I can forsee wearing for a long-period of time. It’s NOT completely transfer-proof; although very little color transfers. I specifically really like the applicator – it’s super-easy to outline your lips & proceed to fill them in. I only had to dip once! The shade range is extravagant, so you’re bound to find a color that suits you.
