You look pretty. I love that lipstick shade. The only suggestion I would have is just a little bit more overall to make sure the dark lip/minimal other makeup look reads very intentional. Maybe a light but somewhat shimmery eyeshadow, a little thicker liner, or more obvious blush/contour/highlight. So it’s not too costumey or competing with the lip, but still shows a put together full face. Especially with that bold blue green shade, you could stick to a neutral pallet on the rest of your face and still kick the rest of your makeup up a notch. I don’t subscribe to the rule that you’ve got to keep everything else super minimal if you’re wearing a bold lip or bright eyes, you just have to kind of keep colors muted and complimentary.
That said though you’re rocking the lip and I see no reason why you couldn’t go out exactly like that, if you feel pretty and comfortable.
This is a very cool look. Why not try play with the hair to compliment the aesthetic? With a dark lip I love slick, glossy hair, it feels so edition. You could try smooth and do a dramatic side parting? Make up wise, I’d consider a cream highlighter to give a subtle “natural” glow.

I’m VERY new to makeup. So far can only do mostly drugstore makeup.
I can’t figure out cut crease, smoky eye, or contouring to save my life, no matter how many tutorials or sets I look up. I don’t touch my eyebrows. And so far, I am useless at liquid liner, but I think that’s because I cant find one that doesn’t immediately give me raccoon eyes or lasts more than 10 minutes after it dries. It’s like it dries and evaporates off my face.
– Pretty sure all my brushes are E.L.F.
– Primer is ELF Soothing Primer
– Colour Corrector is Maybelline Cover Stick Correcter Concealer – Green. It isn’t that strong over my zits though.
– Foundation is Maybelline FIT me! I’m pretty sure the foundation matches my winter skin, but I know I should start hitting my summer skin match soon.
– elf Make Me Matte Setting Powder
– elf Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer in sheer.
– Eyeliner is (most likely) NYX gel liner.
– Eyeshadow is from Profusion Cosmetics Kaleidoscope palette. Colours are Buttercup, Safari, and a bit of Fern.
– Also attempted to add a green eyeliner to my lid to define it, but that pencil isnt working and I’m going to throw it out tonight. Tbh it might be a kohl eyeliner and that’s why I’m struggling.
– Lipstick is Sephira Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in Dark Forest.
I’d love to see a little dimension on your face to balance the bold lip feature. Even if you didn’t do full contouring, a dusting of highlighter around your eyes and a spot of blush in a neutral/nude could add a lot.
I skipped blush and highlighter for years because it’s not nearly as exciting as bold eye and lip colors, lol. But it really ties looks together!
