Before accutane, I had fairly normal skin apart from acne. My dry patches weren’t too bad. Now that I’m on accutane my skin is still dry. Since I no longer need to wear a mask at work, I want to go back to makeup, but my old makeup products are not suitable for my new skin type. Can anyone suggest products or point me in the direction of a sub for this issue? 🤗 What I’m doing now – Kinship sunscreen used as a base, morph skin tint foundation applied with a brush and then smoothed with a sponge (too much coverage with the sponge alone)
Layer a hydrating primer like Laura Mercier hydrating, embryolisse lait creme concentre, Glossier priming moisturizer or a tiny drop of almond oil/rosehip oil mixed in with your moisturizer
I was on accutane last year and it took me a while before I could wear makeup again. I’ve tried a few different foundations and the only one that has worked for me is Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydromaniac. I put it on with my fingers then tap it in with a sponge to smooth it out and I absolutely love it.
Let your skin heal!!!!! No makeup!

I never wore makeup the two times I was on accutane. If I did, I really like the glam glow tinted moisturizer. Too much pigment will just make it worse! I only used a light bare minerals powder over it and more often than not it was too dry to do that.
