This is just window-shopping the new beauty releases (one of my favorite things to do!) Sometimes, I come across some really awesome, inspiring products – other times, I feel some type of way about a few of these releases. Read on to find out if I’m ‘Inspired or Tired’ by these 9 new products!

▪️Chanel ‘Les Beiges’ Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream – $50.00
➡️ Classification: Luxury Makeup
❌ TIRED
☕ They already came out with this – years ago. Then they recently reformulated, & nobody likes it anymore. I wonder if this ‘new’ release is them going back to the ‘old’ formula, since so many people complained about it? I would try it, but $50 is a lot to risk on a potential dud product!

▪️Peripera ‘Oil Capture’ Cooling Powder – $10.33
➡️ Classification: K-Beauty Makeup
✅ INSPIRED
☕ Admittedly, the packaging just gets me. Peripera has some of the most darling packaging on their cosmetics. The powder is an actual staple product in their line that they’ve had for awhile, the only new thing is the limited edition Teteum imagery. I’ve never tried the powder, but I would LOVE to!

▪️Hourglass Singles & ‘Create-Your-Own’ Palettes – $?
➡️ Classification: High-End Makeup
❌ TIRED
☕ I don’t know – something about ‘dead space’s just really irks me. The singles’ packaging looks terrible, & the palettes look unappealing for the undoubtedly high price they will cost. These aren’t released yet, so maybe they will work on the layout prior to launch day – but I’m really not liking it thus far.

▪️Essence ‘Dancing Green’ Eyeshadow Palette – $3.99
➡️ Classification: Affordable Makeup
✅ INSPIRED
☕ Oh, I just love it! These are SO my colors, & this palette would create such a cute, casual look. I’ve had good luck with the Essence formula (from what I’ve tried), so I would really like to get this one day! They also have plenty of other color-stories, if green ain’t your thing.

▪️Lime Crime ‘Sunkissed Glimmering Skin’ Stick – $25
➡️ Classification: High-End Makeup
❌ TIRED
☕ Frankly, I’m quite sick of makeup coming packaged like deodorant sticks. I know you can take a brush directly to the product & apply that way, but sometimes I’m heavy-handed & like to use the product squarely on my face. You know, right from the component. Having deodorant-style packaging makes precision application sooo hard, & even if I like the looks of the product I avoid this type of packaging at all costs.

▪️Shine by SD Cosmetics ‘Enchantment’ Palette – $33.00
➡️ Classification: Indie Makeup
✅ INSPIRED
☕ This brand has been on my wishlist FOREVER. I’ve been aiming to buy some singles from them for my custom palettes. But now, I see they are releasing this beauty. It certainly isn’t a standalone palette for me, but I think this would make an INCREDIBLE palette for one-shadow looks, or even as an accent palette. The colors look gorgeous!

▪️Maybelline ‘Volum’ Express’ Up to 36-Hr Wear Waterproof Mascara – $8.77
➡️ Classification: Drugstore Makeup
❌ TIRED
☕ You can just read the description of this & KNOW that this will be one of those mascaras that are impossible to wash off. No matter how much you scrub it, you’ll still be left with raccoon eyes. I’m not too much into waterproof formulas in general, but combine that with one that’s not supposed to budge for 36 hours, & it’ll be a wreck. No thank you.

▪️Revolution Beauty ‘Neon Heat Limitless’ Eyeshadow Palette – $25.00
➡️ Classification: Affordable Makeup
✅ INSPIRED
☕ This formula is really hit-or-miss, but that doesn’t deter me from being inspired by their color-stories. With a brand like Revolution that pushes new products every-other-day, I find it mystifying that they still create palettes that I want! These colors look fun, bold, & daring – & I want to play with them!

▪️Wet n’ Wild ‘Must-Haves’ Lip Kit – $14.99
➡️ Classification: Drugstore Makeup
❌ TIRED
☕ Is it just me, or is $15 for a 3-piece mini lip kit EXPENSIVE AF for Wet n’ Wild? Normally, their full size lip products are under $4, so why the high price tag? I would think a kit would include a reduction in price, not an increase. The lip products look fine, I’m just not interested in over-spending on a kit.
