🌟 I already bought black lash glue – I’m just waiting for it to get here! Sorry about how bad the clear looks!

One/Size Beauty – Patrick Starrr Visionary ✌
……
👁 Look Created: Oval Blend-Out/Cut-Crease
……
⚫ Packaging: 1.5g each, circle-shaped pans (some have embossing), thin packaging, bi-fold, pink chromatic cardboard packaging, long-nail-friendly offset opening, palette name is front & center, mid-weight, magnetic closure, medium rectangle shape, large mirror inside, pans are not intended to be removed, shade names are designated below each shadow
……
⚫ Country of Origin: USA
……
⚫ # of Shades in Palette: 15 total shades (eyeshadows)
⚫ Dexterity Concerns: very easy to open & maneuver
……
⚫ Type of Press: soft – a lot of kickback in pans, some fallout on my face; recommend doing eyes first with this palette
……
⚫ Extra Information: introductory palette of self-taught makeup artist Patrick Starrr’s brand, Patrick’s forever ‘faves’ of every day, wearable shades, created to be inclusive for all skintones, clean-formula, cruelty-free, vegan, 12M-PAO
🔸️Fallout: experienced some fallout, the most being from the shade ‘Olive It!’
🔸️Shade Variance: this palette has a nice ‘light-to-dark’ gradient. There are some traditional ‘neutral transition’ shades for a range of skintones.
🔸️Formula: I know that (technically) there are only TWO formulas in this palette, but in my experience using it – there are most-definitely THREE formulas:
Mattes: the mattes are decent. Some of them are quite creamy, while others feel dry-as-a-bone. The colors layer on top of each other really nicely, but getting them to blend out is a CHORE. It’s a very stubborn matte formula.
Shimmers: the shimmers are really pretty, but have a hard time being applied with a brush. I don’t like to use my fingers to apply eyeshadow, so I tend to avoid finicky formulas. I REALLY had to layer the shimmer over-and-over-and-over to get decent opacity & payoff. They feel very soft & swatch nicely.
Glitters: there are two ‘shimmers’ in this palette that are more like extremely dense pressed glitters. Both shades lack base pigment, & the only color they carry is the color of the tiny glitters. These are also VERY messy shades, need to be built-up for any sense of intensity, & work best over a glitter adhesive.
Matte Black: I always like to comment on the matte black in a palette (if present), because it’s a shade I go into very often to bring depth into any eye look. Patrick Starrr says this is the ‘deepest black’, & I tend to disagree with that. It’s more on the ‘smokey’ side, having a lot of greyness to it. It’s also almost impossible to blend out, which is a bummer.
🔸️Packaging: I think this packaging is excellent! It’s really on-brand, matching all the other products in the line – & I love the incorporation of fine details, like the offset opening for people with long-nails.
🔸️Recommendation: I think this palette can create many fabulous eye looks – each one bearing a little different than the other. The color-story isn’t stand-out to me, but it IS wearable, & something I see a lot of people enjoying. I think my eye look from this palette is really pretty, though I wish I could have a ‘seamless blend’ – but after MUCH time, I just couldn’t get it there. The price per shade is affordable! Each pan holds an above-average amount of shadow. This palette may be difficult to store (depending on how you store your palettes), due to its shape. I am not keeping this in my collection.
▪️If you are interested in this palette, I would not recommend it.
