I have spent centuries trying to find the right combination of primer and foundation. I am currently using Longwear Fenty Pro Filt’r Moisturizing Foundation combined with Kokie Smooth Glow Primer. I find that even right after I apply my face makeup, it will rub off if anything touches my face. At the end of the day, there is barley left on the makeup of the face. I have fairly oily skin that is not prone to acne. My skin is also a bit patchy, which I would love to have the option to cover whenever I want. I have used Maybelline FitMe for a while but had the same issue. I’ve never really used a primer next to the one I’m currently using. I apply my foundation with a beauty blender. I’m looking for cruelty-free primer / foundation recommendations, as well as powder (if that’s anything that can help). I was also wondering if anyone suggested using a tinted moisturizer instead? Would a different style of application work better (brush instead of a blender)? Thank you!
With oily skin it’s pretty inevitable that your makeup will come off if you touch your face too much. Try using a light dusting of powder to set your primer, then apply foundation, and powder again. Set with a matte setting spray (I really like the NYX one) and it’ll help with makeup transfer.

Use setting powder! I find that powder helps my makeup last much longer, especially when I’m wearing a mask or constantly touching my face. You can also try dusting a little bit of setting powder on your face BEFORE going in with makeup, kind of like a primer. My favorite drugstore setting powder is the No7 Perfect loose powder, and my favorite high end is the Laura Mercier setting powder, but there’s plenty of others to choose from. You can use a finishing powder if you just want to set your makeup, but setting powders are usually better for longevity and oil absorption.
