I was going for a wet mermaid inspired cover and tried setting my shadow then adding lip gloss like in this kali uchis video. after about 2 minutes of taking photos and blinking my eyes I got the muddy mess in the last pic. Is there a product to give a wet look to the lids without damaging the color?

Makeup by Mario master metal manipulator. It’s the weirdest product but so amazing. It’s a liquid that you drop into eyeshadow (you scrape it into a mixing tray first) and mixes with any metallic shadow to turn it into a paint. It’s amazinggg and stays where you paint it without mixing into anything else

I know it’s not what you wanted in the end but I still really love this look, probably a pain to actually wear out but I could totally see you doing a mini photo shoot with this :))
using a base that totally sets down (like the DEPIXYM cosmetic emulsions) will prevent colour transfer, but the gloss will likely still crease
you could also use an actual eye gloss (sometimes called a lid lacquer) as they’re generally thicker formulas that are less susceptible to as much creasing
but either way glossy eye looks will never be particularly longwearing with any formulas on the market right now x
