After watching countless YouTube videos touting this palette, I bought it – but to my surprise, I’m having trouble with the matte undertones. In general, I find that matte shades don’t build up well and where I try to focus the color, they end up looking patchy. The mixture also ends up being jagged where it blends into nothing, or sticks and won’t blend easily. I use my usual Urban Decay primer which is my favorite after testing several brands but I am wondering if I should change it. Anyone else noticed this and found out how to make these colors work better? I really like the color story of the Flower Punk palette, but I’ll wait until I figure out how to make these shades work for me.
Unfortunately I’ve had some of those same problems. I’ve tried a couple of primers (KVD, the Ulta Beauty primer potion dupe, my usual concealer) with it to see if it’s a primer issue, but the patchiness still appeared and I had some longevity issues with the shimmers, even using glitter glue. Lots of creasing, fallout, and pigments sliding down my face too. Unfortunately I think its an issue of everybody hyping up the palette because of Angelica or because the unusual color story. The mattes, shimmers, and toppers in this palette look spectacular and original. However I’ve found that I can only make a look work for 4-6 hours. It’s great for a vavaboom night look or date night, or even for clubbing (Club Nebula duh), but my experience resembles yours, the palette is not necessarily good for daily wear, detailed work, or long-lasting looks.
