🔎 REVIEW:
🔸️Patchiness: no patchiness
🔸️Blendability: on the harder end to blend, but it does eventually blend out with some work
🔸️Fallout: experienced no fallout
🔸️Shade Variance: this palette has a nice ‘light-to-dark’ gradient. There are some traditional ‘neutral transition’ shades for a range of skintones.
🔸️Formula: the matte formula is really nice. Not intensely pigmented, these are more ‘buildable’ shades, & they definitely build well to meet whatever opacity you are looking for. They are very smooth & not patchy at all. The satins are gorgeous. They perform like a less-intense metallic, which is what you want sometimes. Also, you can use them wet, which REALLY amps up the shine. The shimmers are impressive, they have a nice base pigment, making them multifunctional shades. I really like their richness & intensity. I always like to remark on the black in the palette (if there is one), & this one is a very ‘soft’ black. It fits in with the ‘buildable’ theme, but while using it, I could never really get this shade to go as deep as I desired.
🔸️Packaging: I love this packaging. I’m a fan of larger-sized palettes, & I think a hard exterior really helps protect the soft shadows inside. The rose gold signature on the front is a unique & special touch.
🔸️Recommendation: This was actually my first time EVER attempting a smokey eye, but when I saw the shades in this palette, that style of eye look was calling to me! There are sooo many different creative looks that you can do with the included colors. I really enjoy the formula, as we are in a world where everything MUST be fiercely pigmented, or it’s not worth anything – this formula is a little something different. I also appreciate that this palette is accessible, being available at multiple retailers for convenience.
The price per shade is excellent! Each pan holds a below-average amount of shadow. This palette may be difficult to store, due to its size. I am keeping this in my collection.
