I have suffered from acne since I was a teenager. My life was miserable, covering my skin everyday like I was a monster. No one has really seen me baseless. But last summer. I said FUCK IT. Fuck your acne, your scars and whatever society makes you think is perfect. I just don’t understand why girls with perfect glass skin wear foundation. If you do, it’s fine to do what you want, but you don’t need to. I had a hard time convincing myself that I didn’t need it too. If you have acne, you don’t have to cover it. What the fuck they say. I would like to have a better life with my skin.
I had perfect skin through my 20s, but I liked a really super matte look. I couldn’t just throw on a tinted moisturizer and call it a day to achieve the look I wanted. I’d get super shiny. It also gave a better base for the dramatic looks I was into at the time. So I understand why some do it.
Also, we never know what people are going through and what their self image is. If they are wearing foundation, how do you know they have perfect skin under there?
I have pretty good skin but I wear foundation because I like it and because I feel like dramatic looks fare better with an even canvas.
I feel the exact same way. I don’t like wearing foundation. I can’t imagine putting it on if I didn’t have to
