I’ve never used lip oil before, but my brother’s girlfriend gave me CP Lux Lip Oil at local time as part of my Christmas present and I’m on to try it now. I was going to ask how everyone is using it. I was wondering if I could wear it over lipstick / liquid lipstick / matte lip product but would the oil pull it apart when applying?
Afaik if you want shine on top of the other lip products you go for a lipgloss. Lip oils are meant to be on their own. Would depend on the formula or marketing for exceptions.
I don’t know how lip oils would play with matte lipsticks, but lately I’ve been loving pairing my colour pop lip oils with just a lip liner. It looks beautiful and lasts a really long time.
I just wear it alone because the formula is amazing.
Lip oils are meant to be worn on their own to moisturize your lips, like a lip balm.
Over a tinted lip balm works
Mine are lightly tinted so I usually use them solo.
It plays well enough with a matte lipstick that you could pair them if you wanted to, though.
I think so. You could layer on top of a lipstick tinted/ blotted lip at most without worrying about transfer. But I wouldn’t do a full layer of lipstick. And i’d imagine it’d take off lip pencil too.
I imagine the oil would remove the lipstick? I think that bc lots of makeup removers are oil based for that reason. Never tried though, could be wrong
